Supply Chain Issues? Try our all-inclusive reconditioning service Hydrotesters, Straighteners & Sizers
NEW PROJECT - Bronx CR9 Straightener rebuild and upgrade project from 4.0" to 8.0" diameter pipe. This unit will be rebuilt and modified in our shop to process up to 9.625".
The re-startup at the end-users in Houston, Texas is targeted for December 2021
The Crew
Meet our field removal and installation crew. Our crew is trained professionals with decades of experience. From electrical to foundation work, we have seasoned professionals on staff. Our teams can take your project from removal to re-installation. with an intimate production knowledge of the equipment, they are working on.
Removal, recondition and upgrade of all electrical panels. This system will have a completely new PLC, HMI, and software programming. All controls are handled by our internal Integrity Integrators division. Upon re-installation, the controls programming will be field-tested and set up for the entire part range.
Turn-key Solutions
We have a full tube line of capital equipment. Our teams have over 4 decades of OEM design and manufacturing experience on Hydrotesters, Straighteners, Sizers, amongst other bar and tube processing systems.
Bar and Tube Strighteners and Sizers are complex machines.
With infeed and outfeed trough's through the straightener, infeed and outfeed mechanisms to the troughs, hydraulics, controls, gears, rolls. Each section of these systems requires complex engineering capabilities. To evaluate, remove, recondition, incorporate upgrades then reinstall the line to near OEM capabilities requires experience, knowledge, and a well-organized project team to make it successful. To have the right talent and resources is what we have assembled to be able to offer a domestic supply chain solution to the heavy bar and tubular product manufacturers. True Turn-Key solutions that save capital investment significantly and critical delivery schedules cut in half. In the "NEW NORMAL" resources and investment capital are minimal. Adding or replacing critical production equipment is bringing new challenges to even tier-one manufacturers. We have assembled teams of experts that by design will help you find idled used equipment, provide an initial inspection for a fee that typically ranges from $1250 - $2500 plus expenses to conduct a professional inspection, a complete project cost quotation, upgrade opportunities identified, reconditioning and finally the installation and start-up of a complete system.
We are the "NEW NORMAL" for our industries and we are a domestic source. You do not have to settle for foreign-owned and managed large global suppliers any longer. Come experience the NEW AMERICAN MADE integrity, quality, and service that founded manufacturing in the United States of America.
Project planning, budgeting, and management with OEM technical expertise. True Turn-key projects are the key.
Removal, transportation, clean and inspection:
• Remove from the site the inlet trough, outlet trough, straightener, main gearbox drives, hydraulic power unit, and all electrical equipment. (Pricing is with the use of a crane only)• Clean, disassemble and inspect straightener and troughs. Pressure clean all parts. Inspect for worn or damaged parts.• The removed equipment will be taken to a shop in Texas for all cleaning, disassembly, inspection, and reconditioning.• A complete inspection will be performed, and a separate proposal will be generated for parts or assemblies deemed unfit for use. We can provide a short-term and long-term plan for reconditioning.
Engineering and manufacturing:
• Supply a new mill layout drawing to position the straightener beyond the tempering furnace outlet and feed the pipes after straightening back onto the existing cooling bed.• Modify the existing inlet trough to load pipes from the rear of the machine.• Supply a new inlet guide that will bolt onto the inlet trough. Fabricate extension piers to extend from the floor level to the existing trough height.• Supply new wear liners and lid parts to recondition the outlet trough.• Design and supply a kick-off mechanism to raise the pipe off the tempering furnace conveyor and place it onto a skid to enter the inlet trough.• Design and supply a skid section to roll the pipe to the inlet trough and a loading device to place the pipe onto the inlet trough.• Design and supply a skid section to roll the pipe out of the outlet trough and roll the pipe down to the existing loading area of the tempering furnace conveyor prior to the cooling bed.• Design and supply a loading mechanism to load the pipe back onto the raised existing kick-in paddles to place the pipe onto the cooling bed.• A new PLC and HMI will be included as well as all necessary programming to operate the new system. • Installation and Interconnection wiring of the PLC & HMI to the existing control room.• Once the equipment has been reconditioned and proved to be ready, the equipment will be transported to your facility in Houston, Texas.
Installation and commissioning:
• Excavate the existing foundations and prepare for the new system.• Civil work for new straightener foundations.• Build bar pads for a pour.• Core drill anchors for straightener, inlet, and outlet trough.• Shoot shim pads for equipment on elevation.• Install straightener, inlet, and outlet troughs.• Install all other handling equipment to feed to the straightener.• Align the straightener to the inlet and outlet troughs.• Final grout of all new equipment.• Install conduit & wiring for new straightener location.• Install drive cabinet at a new location.• Hydraulic Piping• All wiring & conduit is to be re-used if acceptable per NEC.• Terminate & move the existing control panel at a new site to an alternate location & terminate.• Field route new power source to supply straightener with power and controls through raceway recessed in the concrete floor.• Provide commissioning for the start-up.

Inspections and expert technical advice before you purchase any major components.
Consulting
We typically will inspect and advise on several pieces of equipment in different locations. We work closely and even consult for some of the largest OEMs in the world and can offer comparative new equipment pricing.
Value
On this straightener project, we were able to realize over 1.4 million USD in saving versus an OEM new system. We also realized a 6 month shorter delivery schedule. All with the same or superior technical abilities to the world's largest OEMs in our industries.
